About our finish...

Other manufacturers can make fiberglass umbrellas and seating but when it comes to the finish (the part that your guests will see), they will stop with a gelcoat or, maybe, a clear coat. Unfortunately, these will fade and/or peel when exposed to the daily onslaught of the sun, wind and rain.

 

STM Industries' umbrellas and seats are finished with a two-part (catalyzed) polyurethane paint that is guaranteed not to peel, fade or crack for five years. We (and the paint manufacturer) stand behind that guarantee. Our umbrellas and seats are made for the rigors of the real world so your only worry will be what color will look best.

 

High-wind commercial grade umbrellas
For locations with periodic strong winds our high-wind, our specially reinforced umbrellas are the answer. These umbrellas have poles with a fifty percent thicker wall and an umbrella center support with lengthened ribs and added welded gussets. Note the difference between our standard umbrella support and the high-wind version. Our high-wind umbrellas are perfect for seashore applications or places with gusting mountain or desert winds.

 

New Bistro-style umbrella
The new Bistro style umbrella casts a big shadow with a corner-to-corner dimension of eight and a half feet and six feet along each side. With a strengthened, gusseted center support to accommodate the larger canopy, the Bistro is designed to last many years and, of course, comes with our five year guarantee.

 

New Basic Bistro umbrella
This "Bistro on a Budget" is a simplified version of the regular Bistro umbrella. This umbrella is made the same as the regular Bistro but is offered only with a light tan gel-coat surface (so it will not fade like colored gel coat surfaces). This gel coat is the same coating as seen on many yachts and will last for at least ten years. Call us for a quote, multiple umbrella orders only.
